There was a man who made beautiful statues of Gods and Goddesses. One day he had to take the statue of a goddess to a rich man. He placed the statue on a donkey and started walking to the rich man's house.
As they walked along, people started to admire the statue. Some stopped to praise the statue, while some bowed in respect for the goddess.
The foolish donkey thought that the people were admiring him. He became very happy and felt proud about himself. He began braying loudly.
The man tried gentle words and actions to calm the donkey. But he did not move. At last. the man took a hard stick and hit the donkey. The donkey then became quiet and began walking slowly.
